Beginning in 2013, A&W was the first national burger restaurant in Canada to serve beef raised without the use of hormones or steroids. It?s part of a journey we?re on to source simple, great tasting ingredients, farmed with care. Their guests asked for these changes, and the response has been extremely positive. A&W followed up their beef guarantee with chicken raised without the use of antibiotics in 2014, organic Fairtrade coffee in 2015, and bacon from pork raised without the use of antibiotics in 2016.
