Bank of Canada Breakfast Meeting: Perspectives on the Canadian Economy
Calista Cheung from the Bank of Canada will discuss the latest developments in the global economy and prospects for the Canadian economy. This will include implications of lower commodity prices and the structural adjustments that are taking place, as well as well as factors driving recent interest rate decisions.
Cheung was appointed Senior Representative (Economics) at the Bank of Canada's Regional Office for BC and the Yukon in June 2014. In this capacity, she directs research and analysis on economic and financial developments in the region. She also plays a major role in communicating the bank's message to a variety of external audiences and promotes an exchange of views on the economy and monetary policy.
